Examination

PATTERN OF EXAMINATION 

 

The Undergraduate students of the First-Year B. Sc. (Hons.) will be evaluated on semester basis (with CBCS – Choice Based Credit System) from the academic session 2017–18, the pattern of CBCS will be notified later on & the Undergraduate students of Part I (B. A. Hons. & Gen., B. Sc. Gen. ), Part II and Part III will be evaluated at the end of every academic session as before. The examination pattern is as follows:

 

For Honours courses:

  • Part-I: TwoHonours papers of 90 marks each (+10 from I. A.) + One General paper (in each general subject) of 90 marks (+10 from I. A.).
  • Part-II: Three Honours papers of 90 marks each (+10 from I. A.) + Two General papers (in each general subject) of 90 marks each (+10 from I. A.).
  • Part-III: ThreeHonours papers of 90 marks each (+10 from I. A.) + Two Compulsory Language papers & ENVS paper of 50 marks each.

The result of a student is considered holistically at the end of Part–III examination.

 

For General courses:

  • Part-I:  One General paper (in each subject) of 90 marks (+10 from I. A.).
  • Part-II:Two General papers(in each subject) of 90 marks each(+10 from I. A.).
  • Part-III: One General paper (in each subject) of 90 marks each (+10 from I. A.) + Two Compulsory language papers & ENVS paper of 50 marks each.

The result of a student is considered holistically at the end of Part–III examination.

  • I. A. – Internal Assessment
  • Only students attending the requisite number of classes will be allowed to take the Internal Assessment tests.

 

The Postgraduate students are evaluated at the end of every semester. The examination pattern is as follows:

  • Semester I      :           04 papers (courses) of 40 marks each (+10 from I. A.).
  • Semester II     :           04 papers (courses) of 40 marks each (+10 from I. A.).
  • Semester III   :           04 papers (courses) of 40 marks each (+10 from I. A.).
  • Semester IV   :           04 papers (courses) of 40 marks each (+10 from I. A.).
  • I. A. – Internal Assessment
